- Please note that the cultural center of the city is located in Vedado (where the University of Havana is also located). From there it is easy to reach the historical center of the city (old Havana) that it is located at about 4 km of Vedado. We recomend to travel around the city by private taxis ("almendrones"). For instance, the cost for traveling from Vedado to Old Havana varies between 10-30 CUP (Cuban pesos) equivalent to aproximately 0.50-1.50 EUR.

- Old Havana is a very touristic spot, and the prices for private accomodation are higher than other places of the city. We recommend you to book your accomodation in Vedado, somewhere close to the centre near the University of Havana.

- Alternatively, you can also book accommodation in the beautiful Old Havana, but keep in mind that it is very touristic and more expensive than other parts of the city (though you can find suitable accommodation and good prices in private houses ("casas particulares").
